Identity Synchronization & Management

Can you answer the question who has access to what in your IT systems, and why they have that account or authorization?

With traditional manual management of accounts and permissions in cloud services or on-pemise systems, there is always the risk of deficiencies in the management of authorization. These shortcomings may be due to person-dependent handling, a joiner / mover / leaver process that is not maintained or does not exist.

Whether you manage identities in a cloud service or on-premises, there is the same challenge. To ensure that users have the correct access rights in the IT systems in relation to their work duties, neither too high nor lack of rights. And to provide users with accounts and permissions at the right time and with good quality of identity information during the employment life cycle. That is, from the first working day, change of work tasks/personal information as well as deactivation and removal upon termination of employment.

With an identity management system such as Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), you have the opportunity to ensure that your identities are quality assured and comply with the company's policies and processes. This is accomplished by automating the manual administration work required to handle the lifecycle of identities. This is what MIM is used for.

By reducing the manual work steps for assigning accounts and permissions as well as maintaining identity information such as name details, addresses, telephone numbers, good quality and reduced costs are achieved.

Example:

Based on information in the HR system, accounts and permissions can be created, changed, and deactivated or deleted in the systems. MIM performs the change in the system according to predefined regulations and thereby ensures the quality of the identity information.

MIM can be connected to a variety of systems, both standard and in-house developed, as well as handle the processes required to manage account and authorization administration.
